On October 14, 2025, Jocelyn Blériot, Executive Director and Head of International Institutions and Government Affairs of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, and Guan Yisong, Chief Representative of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Beijing Representative Office, along with their delegation, visited the National Center for Climate Strategy (hereinafter referred to as "NCSC") to exchange views on related work. The exchange activity was hosted by Chen Zhihua, Deputy Director of NCSC, with participation from relevant staff of the Department of International Policy Research.
Chen Zhihua extended a warm welcome to Blériot and the delegation and briefly reviewed the solid foundation and achievements of past cooperation between the two sides. He noted that "circular economy contributing to carbon reduction actions" is one of the ten key initiatives outlined in China's "Action Plan for Carbon Peaking Before 2030." NCSC, as a national think tank and a bridge between the government and enterprises, is committed to promoting the development of the circular economy. Blériot elaborated on the significant role of the circular economy in addressing climate change and expressed hope to further explore avenues for cooperation based on the existing foundation. Both parties agreed to continue leveraging their respective strengths, deepen practical cooperation in the field of the circular economy, and jointly contribute to global efforts in addressing climate change and achieving green and low-carbon transition.
